Riley Stock is the son of the developer of Bactifeed, and has, therefore, spent most of his life around it. Riley successfully managed the manufacturing of the product for a number of years. He also started visiting farms and looking at fields, while learning from his father for a number of years, before deciding to go at it full time, on his own. He's worked with many farmers, and has seen first hand that Bactifeed helps improve soil in farming, composting, lawn, gardens, and more.

In 2017, Riley began working with a partner, Levi Strang, to bring Bactifeed OST (the OMRI Certified product) to homes for lawn, garden, and composting use. He is excited to bring Bactifeed to a new market so that many more can enjoy the benefits of the microbial mixture for themselves.
A History of Bactifeed. 20+ years ago...

The developer of Bactifeed once worked with a company that sold products for farms. The products worked well, but after a couple of years the farmers stopped seeing the benefits from them. Disturbed by this, he went to the owners of the company and told them about the issue. They. however, told him that the product was only helpful for a few years and that he just needed to find different farmers to sell to.
He explained to the farmers what he had learned, and they asked if he could develop a better product. He had spent a number of years working in a lab and on fields, so, determined, he decided to give it a shot. He asked what they would like in a product and they told him three things. It had to be affordable, easy to use, and work consistently. He knew that focusing on the microbes in the soil would be the best way to achieve this.

Over the next few years he worked on developing Bactifeed. He went to experts in soil microbes, hoping to collaborate with them, and explained his ideas. They informed him that what he wanted to do was impossible. Refusing to become disheartened, he began to experiment with different mixtures and delivery methods; learning and improving the product every step of the way.

If you asked him today if he had discovered the perfect soil amendment, he would tell you that there is no such thing as a perfect product. But every year he adds more to the Bactifeed mix as new things are discovered about soil and the organisms that thrive there.
